There were numerous scents “testing” for this line, and this is that list.  When I get the exact candle names that will be launching I will amend this list.

I am so excited about this information I could just scream….but I won’t…I will just write it all out.

And no one is talking about this yet, so let me be the first to share….

Remember when I posted that list of trademark names and said they sounded summer-ish….

#BBWInsider | Coastal Cool mini candle | Endless Weekend Hand Soap | Review

My Coastal Cool package from #BBWInsider should have arrived last week but for some unknown reason it finally came today and I am happy to be able to show you what I reviewed previously (below).

I recorded a 55 second video clip of them, and will post the link to that as soon as it finishes uploading.  I don’t know how YouTubers do that stuff….55 seconds needs one hour to download.  🙂

My package also did include a bottle of the Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in the fragrance of Endless Weekend. 

Currently on my sink is a bottle of Endless Weekend in the formula of Deep Cleansing and both me and my husband love not only the fragrance which is not as fruity as the Signature Fragrance is but we love the way our hand feel after washing. When a guy who normally pays no attention to these things mentions he really likes that soap…it must be good.

I highly recommend both the candles and the hand soap.

Here are some photos I just snapped of my review box.  I also wanted to show the picture of the mason jars…one of the ways I am using these new mini candles indoors and outside in the evening.  Add in a bit of sand and you have a perfect evening luminary.  Take that fireflies….  😉

I don’t know about you, but bringing the Beach home has never been so easy!  And pretty!

Last week, we fragrance insiders were given the opportunity to get our next product for review….

Coastal Cool Mini Candles from Bath and Body Works.

Mine is set for delivery early next week, but because I already own these, (almost two dozen of them now) and have burned these…I want to share my experience with them so you can go to your store and grab some if you have not yet tried them.  I will of course then post the pictures of my insider box when it arrives.

If you walk past any Bath and Body Works store lately, you cannot miss the colorful display for their newest fragrance launch, Endless Weekend.

And along with it, they launched their Coastal Cool Home Collection candle line.  These candles are available in both the 3 wick and mini forms and you cannot help yourself but be drawn into the store to check out these frosted color glass no lid jar candles. 

 Beautiful shades reminiscent of the teal blue ocean waters and nighttime sky….with a touch of orange sunset as it slowly slips below the horizon and the warmth of beach sand. These are perfect summertime decorating colors.

When I first saw them some time ago when this line was testing my first thoughts were beach and sea glass.  They made me think summertime, with colors chosen from a day at the beach pallet.

Once in the store, you can experience the fragrance of each of these scents. There are six scents available in the mini candles in my stores.  These are their names and fragrance notes.

  • Beach Day -•A blissful beach-day blend of saltwater, lemon leaves and citrus musk

  • Turquoise Waters -•Be transported to the Pacific’s turquoise waters with an ocean-fresh blend of bergamot, day lily & sea spray

  • Sunset Beach-•Easygoing summer evenings just got sweeter with pineapple, papaya & sugarcane fragrance
     
  • Eucalyptus Mint and Waves -•Catch a wave with this refreshing blend of water flowers, eucalyptus and surf

  • Coastal Sun -•Take in some California rays with this delicious blend of vibrant orange & zesty grapefruit

  • Ocean Driftwood -•The fragrance of beachside oak, mahogany & fresh air evokes an early morning walk along the coast

 
 

And I smelled each candle in both the large and the small version to see if they were going to be fragrances I would like.  And I was hooked.
 
These mini candles now adorn my dining room table in the rope lanterns that were also offered at the launch.  I wanted something theme relevant to burn them in, but you don’t need any holder to enjoy these. I purchased extras for using outdoors as well.
 
I do love the mini candles for their touch of light and fragrance that is so different from that of the three wick.  It’s more personal and delicate and that is amplified even more when shone throw the colored glass.
 
The minis suggest they have a burn time of between 10-15 hours and I find that close to what I get from them.  Depending on the scent, the fragrance is pleasant for the size and while you don’t expect the same throw as you would get from a much larger candle, these candles do preform.
 
When the mini candles are burned down, I was still able to utilize the colored glass holder with battery tea lights for those places a burning candle cannot go. I love to reuse!
 
I am hoping that Bath and Body Works continues to offer colored frosted glass candles as we move forward into the fall and holiday season.  But keep in mind, these candle jar colors will even work perfectly then too! So stock up.
 
Imagine a warmer weather climate celebrating their holidays as they do with touches of the beach and these beautiful candles as part of the décor.
 
Like I said, I am so in love with these fragrance mini candles in these scents I just had to write my review of them so you can stop by your store and grab some now. They are currently in store and online  priced at $4.50 each or sale priced 3 for $10.00.

QVC | Your Home with Jill | Beautiful Buffet style Lunch

I have followed the Your Home with Jill show on QVC for some time now and with each show I find another great idea of something I can do in my own home.  I wanted to share this link because not only does it have great decorating ideas, but also a do-it yourself project { the menu plate}. Love that!!

Bath & Body Works | Smart Soap

What has it been, about a year or so since I mentioned the new trademark I found called Smart Soap at Bath and Body Works and not so long ago I mentioned that they were testing these dispensers in some stores.

And yes, some have said they saw these soap dispensers in stores testing but we haven’t heard much more about them….so what is this new Smart Soap? Here’s what I know:

This is a touch-less Foaming Hand Soap Dispenser. And what we will love about it is that we can have all of our  favorite foaming hand soap scents that Bath and Body Works offer in a new formula that will give us the right amount to get our hands clean.

Personally,  I am hoping for holiday scents too.

The formula is a bit different than the Gentle Foaming Hand Soap that we use now and it’s suppose to be a richer foaming formula with silk proteins that will leave our hands softer than ever before and it’s specifically designed to be used in the Smart Soap Dispenser.

You run your hands under the nozzle and  it will dispense the perfect amount of hand soap to get your hands clean.

I had one of those in store brand hand soap machines some time ago and the refill bottle was small and while the concept was good, I found the product itself inferior.  I am hoping this is better.

I will be using this in  my kitchen and bathroom and probably my basement sink too. What I like about this concept is I won’t need to touch a pump on a bottle with dirty hands from gardening or contaminated hands from handling chicken while cooking.  All I have to do is run my hand under the nozzle and out comes soap.  And I think this will be great for kids too to encourage them to be better hand washers.

The Smart Soap dispenser will only work with Smart Soap refills and the refills are not able to be refilled with the Gentle Foaming Hand soap that we already use but if we want to change out our refills you are suppose to be able to do that without them leaking all over the place.

Tested originally in white only with kitchen lemon scent it is now available  in six colors and the new Hawaiian scents.  Since they released the new colors I expect this to go wide really soon.  I know I am going to get a few for myself and at least one as a gift for my brother for his new house.

I have always been a big fan of Bath and Body Works hand soaps so I can’t wait to try this new Smart Soap.

For those who live in Florida I heard that there is something new going into affect relating to bad weather preparedness.

The governor there had issued something to help residents gather supplies they may need for bad weather…batteries, candles, generators … things like that and for a limited time you would not need to pay sales tax.

My father lives in Florida and I wondered why he never mentioned that before and I came to find out it is something new.

Which is pretty awesome, really.  Save money where you can right?  So in my silliness I mentioned that I wondered if 3 wicks are included….They are candles.  I know…I know…they are thinking nice white save your life kind of candles…But it never hurts to ask.

Guess what?  Bath and Body does support that sales tax program and he told me that only candles under twenty bucks qualified and it’s for something like one week only.  Today through June 8th. 

No one wants to deal with terribly bad weather and he has seen his share of it there.  But its a nice thing to be able to get something you like tax free once in a while.  Yay Florida!

Victoria’s Secret | Bombshell SUMMER | Color Drama Lipstick

I purchased my Summer Bombshell Fragrance Mist a week ago from Victoria’s Secret before they went on that great sale, of course.  But I wanted it and I had a money off coupon I wanted to use so I was willing to pay a little bit of shipping and got the fragrance and a Color Drama Lipstick for free.

The color of the lipstick is called Melt and it’s this neutral lip mauve that is a bit dark on its own.  Perfect for fall by itself or with a lip balm under it to make it more translucent for summer wear.  I love the feel of this lip product on…it is creamy, non sticky and wears all day.  Everything you want in a lip product.  I was a bit disappointed that the color is so dark, it appeared much lighter online.

It is difficult to buy lip products from a catalog or online because the camera really doesn’t capture the true color.  I will try another color, this time going for something much lighter.  And if your reading my Facebook page daily getting all of the sale updates and articles you would have seen that article I posted yesterday on Victoria’s Secret decision to eliminate makeup and clothing from their sales. So if your a lover of their cosmetics, keep an eye out for elimination sales to stock up.

Now for the Summer Bombshell fragrance.  Every year I get myself more Bombshell because it works perfectly with my chemistry.  But I did notice a slight difference to the scent of this years Summer Bombshell.  I am not sure if its notes have changed that much or my chemistry.  But it is a lovely scent that I would definitely recommend trying.

 

Bath & Body Works | Return Policy

Your wondering what is the return policy at Bath and Body Works, and did it change.  Here are some notes to help you along.

What is considered an even exchange?

  • An even exchange is the return of one item and the purchase of a like product. The products must be the same brand, size and form.  For example, Signature Collection Body Lotion for a Signature Collection Body Lotion or a 3 wick candle for a 3 wick candle.  Even exchange does NOT mean like for like price point.

What if I received a Body Lotion for a gift and I want to return it for a Body Cream.  Is that an even exchange?

  • No. If we return a Body Lotion without the receipt and the Sa is not able to lookup our transaction it will processed as a non-receipted return of a Body Lotion and the LOWEST selling price shown on the register. That return amount may then be applied towards the purchase of the Body Cream at the current selling price that is also displayed on the register. We are then required to pay any difference in price.

What if we purchased a Body Lotion in a new scent and after trying it at home we decide we don’t care for it and we want our favorite, familiar body lotion. We paid cash but can’t find the receipt…

  • This is an exchange of a like item, brand-size and form…so they will return the body lotion we don’t want for the lowest price on the register and then price override the body lotion we do want to match the lowest selling price of the item we are returning.

What if we want to return a 3 wick candle we already burned but we want a different scent and we don’t have our receipt and the transaction can’t be found?

  • This is an exchange of a like item, brand-size and form…so they will return the 3 wick candle we don’t want for the lowest price on the register and then price override the new 3 wick candle we do want to match the lowest selling price of the item we are returning.

What if we wanted to bring back an Anti-bacterial Foaming Hand Soap in exchange for a new Foaming Hand Soap?

  • This is an exchange of a like item, brand-size and form…so they will return the Anti-Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap we don’t want for the lowest price on the register and then price override the new Foaming Hand Soap we do want to match the lowest selling price of the item we are returning.

What if your husband went and bought you an Aromatherapy Body Lotion and you really don’t care for the product and you really want your favorite Signature Body Lotion.  You don’t have the receipt to check out the transaction so what happens now?

  • This is not an exchange of an like item so the Aromatherapy Body Lotion will be returned at the current price on the register and then that amount can be applied to the current selling price of the new Signature Body Lotion.  If there is a price difference, you would need to pay that, or in the case it is more, you would get a refund of that difference.

What if your returning the new Signature Collection Endless Weekend Lotion without a receipt and the lowest selling price was not the current promo price of Buy 3 get 3 free.  Will they override the price?

  • No. They are to trust the price at the register. Sometimes the lowest selling prices do not update at the same time store promos do.

What if your returning an Aromatherapy Body Lotion without your receipt and one day last week it was on a promo of “one day only” price. If It rings up full price, will the price be over-ridden to the one day only price as the lowest price?

  • No. They are to trust the price at the register.

Bath and Body Works is one of the only companies I know of that has a 100% Happiness Guarantee on their products.  And it would seem to me the easiest thing regarding exchanges, returns and gift giving to is ALWAYS keep your receipt to avoid any confusion at the register. 

I think some have become so accustomed to just grabbing what they no longer want and returning it without a receipt  that we have made it more difficult for them to continue the 100% Happiness Guarantee without adding a few tweaks here and there.
